LUMINOUSnight is a one night spectacular of light and art and The University of Western Australia’s 100th birthday gift to the people of Western Australia.

From 7pm until midnight on Friday 8 February 2013, it will be transformed into a walk-through gallery and performance space, hosting a continous program of performances, displays and installations - a delight of light, art and history.

The Dance program for LUMINOUSnight highlights a breadth of styles and cultures.

 

Junba - Mowanjum Dancers

The people of Mowanjum, custodians of the Wandjina figures, perform their magnificient dance - Junba.

Reid - Dance UWA

Dance UWA is a not-for-profit student club run through the Student Guild. For LUMINOUSnight, Dance UWA will perform a set of short works.

PARROTS crows PEACOCKS

Renowned West Australian choreographer Chrissie Parrott has created an original dance work for LUMINOUSnight reflecting the birdlife of the University of Western Australia's Crawley campus.

Nop Kooling (Boy Travelling)

Directed by Richard Walley and following the six Nyoongar seasons, a young boy's story is told through a fusion of traditional and contemporary live music and dance.
