  • Arts for the Community

Arts Practicum is a bridge between university study and workplace experience where an Arts students can work on a project of real value to a host organisation. Employers can design projects with students, according to their organisation's needs and the student's interests.

UWA acknowledges the centrality of the arts in human endeavour and asserts the importance of the visual and performing arts in fostering students to think imaginatively and to be creative risk-takers

From 2012, The University will introduce New Courses 2012. If students are to have the fully rounded education promised, we must ensure they have meaningful creative and cultural experiences.

Many of our Faculties offer courses or units that have an element of the arts embedded within them that will result in students completing at least four breadth units from outside of their major study area.

UWA also offers specific courses at undergraduate, diploma and postgraduate levels.

The University is also WA's largest provider of adult short-course learning opportunities through UWA Extension, which provides intellectual and creative opportunities for all members of the community.

There are also many student clubs on campus that have a focus on the arts.
