Further Information

Theatre on campus

The Masonic is a multi-purpose venue with a vision to create and foster a vibrant mulch-disciplinary hub on the University of Western Australia's Crawley campus for the arts and cultural activities of students, University groups and the wider arts community.

Masonic Contemporary is currently a rehearsal space as it awaits the second stage of its planned refurbishment, which will transform it into a multidisciplinary arts venue.

The building has two resident groups:

Artlaab is a Faculty of Architecture, Landscape and Visual Arts initiated student gallery space and research hub, a dynamic and responsive space for students, staff, alumni and the broader community to explore and present their contemporary arts practice.
  • Ochre Contemporary Dance Company

Ochre Contemporary Dance Company tells Australian stories through contemporary dance. The company combines Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal board, staff, creatives and dancers to present narrative based, professional contemporary dance.
